Despite the fact that Winter Guard International (WGI) held competitions virtually in the 2021 season, the Mililani High School (MHS) Winterguard competed in the Open Class division. Starting from the A class, each class becomes progressively more competitive. After the MHS Winterguard competed against 400 high school teams and submitted their performance in the fourth preliminary round on March 22, they progressed to the semifinal round.
